Senior Financial Analyst
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial analysis, accurate forecasting, and actionable recommendations. The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate across departments to drive financial performance, contribute to the company’s growth, and support commercial finance activities.
This is a critical and highly visible position which works closely with senior management and reports to the Finance Director. It requires extensive experience in financial analysis and business modeling, ability to form strong working partnerships with senior business leaders and to effectively problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages up to 2 direct reports within the finance team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Analyze financial performance by identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with department leaders to develop budgets and forecasts that align with strategic objectives.
- Provide monthly and quarterly reporting, including variance analysis and explanations for senior leadership.
- Prepare financial presentations and dashboards for executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure alignment between financial reporting and FP&A deliverables.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend actions to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Support ad hoc analyses to address key business questions and evaluate strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to analyze revenue trends, partner profitability, and optimize pricing strategies.
- Works in a collaborative manner with department leaders to develop recommendations for resolution of problems.
- Develop models and analyses to assess the financial impact of contract negotiations and customer agreements.
- Assist in M&A due diligence, including financial analysis, valuation, and integration planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:
education and/or experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling background and experience.
- 3 to 5 years of corporate work experience in accounting or finance
- 3+ years of FP&A work experience.
- Adaptive Insights experience preferred.
- One or more of the following: Master’s degree, CMA, CPA preferred.

- World-class organizational skills, encompassing an extremely high attention to detail, strong ownership ethic, and intense focus on accuracy and accountability.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Technical skills and experience in financial reporting and cash flow management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong working knowledge of FP&A and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), preferably in the field of logistics, transportation or retail/service.
- Energy and passion to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel preferred (i.e., reporting, modeling, pivot tables, macros, data tables, simulations, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages in written and verbal communications.
