We are seeking a dynamic Senior Financial Analyst to join our rapidly expanding finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to make a significant contribution to the financial success and growth of our organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting support to our leadership team. This position requires a deep understanding of financial statements, balance sheets, and financial modeling.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Analyst, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
1. Analyzing financial data and create financial models for decision support.
2. Reporting on financial performance and preparation for regular leadership reviews.
3. Analyzing past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
4. Evaluating financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
5. Guiding cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
6. Providing analysis of trends and forecasts and recommending actions for optimization.
7. Recommending actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
8. Identifying and driving process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
9. Increasing productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
10. Performing market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps.
11. Maintaining a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Senior Financial Analyst position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is highly desirable.
2. At least 5 years of business finance or other relevant experience.
3. Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions, and a solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
4. Experience with business intelligence tools, databases, and financial reporting systems.
5. High proficiency in financial modeling techniques.
6. Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
7. Good business acumen and ability to work with complex data.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
11. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
12. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
13. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
