We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst Cost Accountant.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
Determine and maintain the company’s product cost standards, and compile and analyze data to help Department and Business unit managers better understand financial drivers to make the best business decisions.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
- Product Standard cost setting and bill of material review/audits.
- Prepare month-end journal entries and Performance variance analysis.
- Review, approve, and track Cost Savings Notifications submitted by GSS and Operations staff.
- Make vs. buy analysis, Capital Expenditure analysis
- Facilitate locations’ annual Physical Inventory and participate in activities that promote and improve inventory accuracy.
- Preparation of the annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Gross Margin and product line profitability reporting.
- Participate on cross-functional teams formed to create continuous improvement efforts in lean manufacturing, new product development, accounting systems and procedures.
- Follow Company safety rules; maintain safe work area and equipment. Promptly report or resolve any unsafe conditions.
- Follow Company policies and procedures regarding work and conduct.
- Assist Division Controller, Cost Accounting Manager, and Operations staff with miscellaneous projects as needed.
- Supervise accounting support staff to improve performance and provide development opportunities.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, 3+ years of accounting experience in a cost and/or financial planning and analysis role.
Experience and/or Training: Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and experience with building financial models, accuracy with details, and strong analytical skills.
Licenses/Certificates: CPA or CMA preferred
Technology/Equipment: Superior technology skills including expert proficiency in Excel; knowledge of database applications a plus. Experience with TCM Mainframe applications a plus. Detailed working knowledge of financial and manufacturing cost accounting systems.
Additional Skills: Good organizational and project management skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and promptly at all levels of the organization, providing consultation and supporting department objectives and management decisions. Self-starter to take the initiative to meet tight timelines.
