Sr Financial Analyst - The Copper River Family of Companies

About the Job
Copper River Shared Services is looking for a Senior Project Financial Analyst responsible for the financial planning & analysis activities of various projects across the Copper River Family of Companies. This is a very exciting opportunity to become part of a new team within the Copper River Family of Companies. This position will add value to the organization by delivering relevant and insightful analysis that enables effective decision-making. This role will report to the Director of Project Finance and is in Chantilly, VA with a hybrid option.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Partner with Accounting and Contracts departments within CR Shared Services, and with the Operating Company Leaders to create and maintain rolling 12–18-month project level, individual company level, and consolidated/multi-company revenue and gross margin forecasts.
- Partner with Accounting and Contracts departments within CR Shared Services, and with the Operating Company Leaders to create and maintain Revenue Backlog reports.
- Prepare and update Estimate at Completion analyses monthly, and partner with accounting team on monthly revenue recognition.
- Prepare monthly revenue and gross margin variance report and analysis at the project and company level.
- Support the Program Managers and Operating Company Leaders, by ensuring timeliness of monthly revenue and gross margin reporting; financial reports access and training (timesheet reporting, utilization, backlog, budget to actual, etc.); and assisting with quarterly reporting requirements (i.e. for board meetings, program reviews, company level reviews, etc.).
- Participate in monthly reviews with Operating Company Leaders and Program Managers to identify variance driver and corrective actions.
- Establish consistent communication of labor utilization reports to key stakeholders.
- Perform new project set-up and modifications in Costpoint.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of government contracting and program financial experience, including long range forecasting, tracking revenue and costs to budget, execution to schedule, etc.
- Revenue recognition SME, for all contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M, etc.)
- Knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA audit and reporting methods.
- Deltek/Costpoint experience required.
- ANC/Tribal experience and/or 8(a) experience preferred.
- Forecasting/Reporting automation tools (TM1, Hyperion, etc.)
- Understanding of CUI, DFARS, CMMC compliance.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
