Amazon seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to play a key role on our AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services Operations team as we invent new metrics and operate mechanisms that will help leadership and field teams manage the large and growing AWS Sales business. Job responsibilities include: - Build out robust forecasting analysis for Sr. AWS Leadership and Sales teams to monitor the business - Lead the development of new metrics that bring new clarity and insights - Drive consistency in reporting and methodology with stakeholders across a growing organization - Develop robust and scalable reporting solutions - Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management Have you had experience in past roles supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments? We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Seattle, WA, USA Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience Preferred Qualifications - MBA, or CPA - Knowledge of Tableau - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - Six Sigma Black Belt - Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer - Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence - 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience - 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
