POSITION SUMMARY :
We are looking for a highly motivated finance leader to support the Abiomed Global Healthcare Solutions team, which currently encompasses Global Marketing, Global Reimbursement, Health Economics & Market Access, Physician Education, Global Education and Training, Therapy Awareness, and Corporate Communications. This individual will also play a critical role in the long-range financial plan and mid-term plan processes across Abiomed. He/She will have exposure to senior leaders across the organization, supporting them in delivering their financial commitments, while helping to continue to grow the business and shape the standard of care in heart recovery . This position will report to the Senior Finance Director, US Commercial. The preferred location for this position is in Danvers, MA. This position may also be located at J&J Corporate offices in New Jersey and Pennsylvania; however you must be willing to travel to Danvers, MA monthly and open to travel when needed to meet with our team and Business Partners.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Support financials for a variety of teams that report up through Global Healthcare Solutions team. Lead processes to develop budgets and track actual expenses.
• Standardize, simplify, and automate financial forecasting and reporting processes.
• Support business partners in evaluating decisions to maximize the growth of the business.
• Help to lead the long-range financial plan and mid-term plan processes across Abiomed.
• Play critical role in building market models and P&Ls to support long-term plans.
• Provide financial leadership through forecast and latest thinking cycles, issuing timelines and requirements to stakeholders and analyzing results.
• Partner closely with business partners and budget owners to improve forecast accuracy.
• Prepare and present financial presentations for senior leaders, using executive-level framing to shape key messages.
• Continue to support broader integration activities, including the global adoption and implementation of world-wide accounting policies and procedures.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in Accounting/Finance is required.
- MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred.
- 5-10 years of progressive finance, accounting, or related business experience with multinational companies, is required.
- Candidate must possess excellent analytical (MS Excel), conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to think strategically and creatively and work in a team environment is required.
- Strong communication with superior presentation/framing skills with ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships & influence at all levels, operate with a high degree of independence, have the proven ability to lead, plan, prioritize effectively.
- Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Very well-organized in task and business results/framing with an eye toward the future.
- Knowledge of general finance/accounting processes is required.
- The ability to effectively take on leadership roles and partner with associates at all levels of an organization in various functions is required.
- Preferred location is Danvers, MA; also, may work from a J&J office in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, however you must be willing to travel to Danvers, MA monthly and be open to travel domestically to meet with Business Partners when needed.
The base pay range for this position is $113,000 - $195,500.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
