Title: Sr. Field Service Technician
Work Location: Dallas, TX
Work Schedule: 9:30 AM to 8 PM, Sunday – Wednesday (this is the current proposed schedule subject to change if needed)
Contract: 6+ months. Must be Authorized to Work in the US for Any Employer.
Note: 8 paid holidays and 15 days PTO
Job Description:
We are seeking a Sr. Field Service Technician to provide complex preventive maintenance, testing, and repair service of computer hardware, primarily on stand-alone or networked PCs as well as coordinate the installation, maintenance and support required to maintain a variety of networked PCs.
This position is very physically demanding with a lot of walking around the airport (not a helpdesk position).
Required Experience (4+ years):
- Experience in computer operations and computer maintenance as a Field Technician.
- Active Directory
- Windows 10
- Apple iPad and Android tablets light repair and maintenance
Other Requirements:
- Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent
- Possession of a valid class C driver's license
Preferred:
- Completion of formal education in computer operations and repair is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with Management to review the feasibility of systems requests from client departments.
- Perform inspections, installations, preventive maintenance, testing, and repair of IT equipment at various customer sites.
- Troubleshoot complex problems with hardware and software.
- Consult with Management to review trouble shooting techniques, procedures and SLA performance objectives.
- Prepare trouble tickets on issues such as equipment failure, repair, and prepares data sheets relative to each service call; analyzes equipment.
- Resolve systems problems, including coordination between end users and hardware components of a local area network; trains and assists end users in assigned applications.
- Assist in the evaluation of system configuration and software to ensure effective use of hardware resources.
- Assist with various presentations by setting up and troubleshooting various types of Audio/Visual equipment.
- Maintain and administer various support systems as assigned.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously both as an individual as well as a team member.
