This role is focused on the Operations & Maintenance portion of the EV charging value chain.
The Sr. Product Director, EV Charging Operate & Maintain is the Product Lead (PL) responsible for defining, building, and delivering the Operate & Maintain product. The PL will prioritize product features, create a product roadmap, oversee efficient product development, manage the budget, and conduct market research. The PL is focused on creating impactful products that differentiate CBRE from the competition and drive growth in our business.
The PL achieves this by leveraging market expertise, cultivating client relationships, aligning product strategies, collaborating with key stakeholders, and following CBRE productization standards and processes.
The PL reports to the Product Leader for EV Charging and collaborates with CBRE’s Product team, marketing, communications, education, and governance throughout the product development process. They may also collaborate with matrixed resources including Facilities Management, Digital & Technology (D&T), Executive Leadership, Sales & Client Solutions, Global/Country Operations, Transition Leaders, Pricing & Risk, and Pursuit Enablement.
What you'll do:
The Product Lead EV Charging Operate & Maintain will be responsible for the development of CBRE’s EV Charging product offer. This offer leverages CBRE’s extensive experience and resources in Facilities Management. This includes access to 23,000 service technicians globally through dedicated, mobile and on-demand resources.
Specific duties include:
+ Serve as a subject matter expert for the product and service offer, with deep knowledge of the competitive landscape and comprehensive understanding of competitor products and service offerings. Foster and sustain key relationships with existing and prospective strategic partners.
+ Develop commercial terms, including pricing and standard contract documents that will form the baseline for commercial negotiations by the client-facing teams and that achieve desired CBRE pricing criteria/governance.
+ Well-versed in the competitive landscape of similar product offerings and able to ensure that CBRE’s product differentiation vs competition is well defined, articulated and understood.
+ Network with industry partners, vendors, and relevant professional organizations, to help build out a network of service providers that can serve our clients’ needs. Work closely with CBRE’s Procurement and Global Sourcing teams, to identify relevant partners and vendors and act as the subject matter expert, during the vendor/partner vetting, selection and performance review process.
+ Maintain communication with clients and account teams to ensure their needs are reflected in the product roadmap and vision, and continuously improve products through a quality assurance program and feedback loop.
+ Drive the launch of the product by assessing documentation, training, and education requirements, and creating a corresponding training plan or curriculum. Deliver training and education to stakeholders or coordinate with product education trainers.
+ Manage the product and service offer roadmap, budget, and market research to stay informed of industry trends and ensure compliance with regulatory and company-wide standards. Communicate the product development roadmap and progress effectively to the EV Product Solutions Leader.
+ Drive adoption and ensure processes for users are easy and intuitive. Support Regional and Sector Operations to implement the change driven by the Product by identifying the need for change, recommend a plan to implement it, and communicating the change for the adaptation of the new product or process.
+ the implementation and deployment of the product/offer in actual client engagements. Take feedback from real-world deployment and incorporate in future iterations of the product as needed.
+ Define KPIs that allow to objectively assess performance vs benchmarks
+ This is a global role, with initial focus on North America and Europe/UK, which will expand to Asia Pacific and Australia in later years.
+ Some travel required as needed.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need
+ Minimum 3 years product management experience
+ Minimum Bachelor’s degree, graduate level degree preferred
+ Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, ideally in Operations & Maintenance, preferably with 5+ years in a Business Product Owner role or similar experience
+ Experience in operations and maintenance – commissioning and start-up, preventative, reactive, remote and on-site maintenance; preference for specific experience in EV O&M
+ Be a collaborator – bring together a working team in CBRE’s existing FM (Facilities Management) business to support product development offer. This will include sales and solutioning through to FM operations
+ Business Integrator –Integrate EV O&M Product with existing FM business
+ Flexible – work in a hybrid working environment using Microsoft suite of programs incl Teams, SharePoint
+ Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and written communication abilities with various stakeholders
+ Demonstrated capability to lead discussions towards problem resolution, transforming business and technical requirements into clear, high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria
+ Strong project management, problem-solving and decision-making skills
+ Experienced in operating within Waterfall and Agile methodologies
+ Financial fluency and acumen
+ Highly proficient in technology
+ International experience is a plus – demonstrated ability to be successful in different market environments and cultural settings

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $160,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $180,000 annually The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
