We are on the hunt for a seasoned Permanent Sr. Estimator (Multi Family) to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional to play a pivotal role in the growth and success of our organization. You will be responsible for providing accurate and competitive project estimates, managing project staffing requirements, and ensuring cost-effectiveness across our portfolio of multi-family and senior housing projects. This role is particularly focused on Section 8 HUD Housing, HUD, affordable housing, OFHA, Multi Family, Apartments, and Senior Housing projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Sr. Estimator, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Developing detailed and accurate project estimates in line with project specifications and timelines.
2. Managing project staffing requirements to ensure optimal productivity and cost-effectiveness.
3. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements.
4. Evaluating and adjusting estimates as necessary to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
5. Analyzing and interpreting project blueprints, technical drawings, and other project documents to prepare estimates.
6. Conducting risk analysis for potential projects, considering materials, labor, location, and other factors.
7. Keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements to ensure that our estimating processes remain competitive.
8. Providing consultation on planning, coordination, and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects.
9. Evaluating bids from contractors and subcontractors, ensuring they meet project scope and budget.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Sr. Estimator role will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 8 years of experience in estimation, specifically within the realms of Section 8 HUD Housing, HUD, affordable housing, OFHA, Multi Family, Apartments, and Senior Housing projects.
2. Proven experience in project staffing and cost estimation.
3. A strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
4. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
5. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
6. Proficiency in relevant estimating software.
7. The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
9. Professional certification in Estimating or a related field would be a plus.
10. Must be local to the area or willing to relocate prior to starting
