We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Sr. Enterprise Infrastructure Architect that will be the principal lead for the Sr. Enterprise Architecture Solutions Team in terms of designing and building on-prem and cloud-based solutions. The focus of the role is on the development of highly significant business outcomes for the enterprise.
What You’ll Do:
This is a Full-Time Salary Position
The Sr. Enterprise Infrastructure Architect will lead discussion and engagement sessions, will own solution development, architecture as well as implementation of all Azure solutions. The Sr. Enterprise Infrastructure Architect designs, installs, and configures production and non-production computing platforms to ensure availability, adequate capacity, good response time/system performance, and recoverability. The scope of technologies includes but is not limited to all Azure and Microsoft services, Windows servers, virtual infrastructure, storage, backup/recovery systems, and application presentation infrastructure.
- Works with the Enterprise Infrastructure Team to develop and implement solutions across the enterprise.
- Designs systems to meet requirements and functional specifications and acts as the evangelist for Azure services.
- Serve as the escalation point for problems and incidents not resolved by the System Administrators and System Engineers.
- Works closely with various IT areas to design support transitions and streamline support tasks.
- Provides training to System Engineers, Systems Administrators, and Service Desk technicians.
- Demonstrates deep engineering and development expertise on Microsoft Azure PAAS and IAAS stack of services on delivery engagements.
- Designs high performance, scalable and secure cloud native and hybrid cloud applications.
- Leverages Azure storage and messaging services such as Service Bus Topics, Event Hubs, Azure Blob and Table Storage, Azure SQL to support delivery engagements.
- Integrates identity management and modern authentication and authorization protocols such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0 using Azure Active Directory, Azure AD B2B, Entra ID, and ADFS.
- Installs, configures, manages, patches, and secures hardware/software according to established standards and compliance requirements.
- Develops relevant metrics (KPI/SLA/SLO) to identify improvement opportunities and implements processes to improve those metrics.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s) preferred
- Azure Certifications preferred
- 8+ years of relevant experience in cloud architecture and implementation required
- 5+ years in a leadership role (direct or indirect)
- Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred
- Container experience such as Kubernetes preferred
- Certificates management
- Windows Server OS (Various Version) and Microsoft Active Directory including DNS, LDAP, etc.
- System Backup and Recovery (Veeam)
- Experience with Virtual Infrastructure technologies (VMWare and Hyper-V)
- Experience with Storage Infrastructures (HP/3PAR/PURE)
- Experience with System Security Design and Principles
- Demonstrated experience with Scripting and Powershell
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting

Environmental Factors & Working Schedule:
- Hybrid work environment, 2 days in-person attendance (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely.

At GNC, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
