Senior Engineer- Manufacturing Job Duties

ZF Gainesville, LLC has a job opening for the position of Sr. Engineer - Manufacturing based out of its location in Gainesville, GA.
Job Duties: Responsible to develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; Research, design, modify, & test manufacturing methods & equipment; Confer with equipment vendors; Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing/planning work flow, space requirements, & equipment layout; Coordinate launch management activities for projects such as: new equipment install, engineering changes implementation & continuous improvement; Oversee Continuous Improvement activities; Act as Operations lead in project management team, coordinating cross-functional activities at plant level & ensuring overall attainment to project schedules; Assure product & process quality by designing testing methods; Test finished-product & process capabilities; Establish standards; Confirm manufacturing processes; Maintain product & company reputation by complying with regulations; Complete design & development projects by training & guiding technicians; Participate in professional development activities; Evaluate existing manufacturing processes & workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes & improvements; Apply working knowledge of product design & assembly to manufacturing process; Create processes & procedures to help meet budgetary goals & performance quotas; Devise new solutions to manufacturing problems; and Develop standardized design criteria across product lines.
Senior Engineer- Manufacturing Requirements
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering (any), or related field, plus 5 years of experience as Program or Project Manager in a manufacturing engineering environment, or any occupation in which the experience was gained, and demonstrated experience with: Leading technical projects within the manufacturing industry, including, launch management activities, new production line installations and commissioning, model year updates on production lines, continuous improvement projects, and line balancing and cycle time improvements; PRO E or CAD LT; AXALANT; ISO TS16949 for the automotive industry; Data Collection, Analysis & Improvement Projects; and Volume assembly lines, including, low cycle time production lines, highly automated manufacturing line, and High product and components traceability.
