Position Overview:
The Sr. Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, planning, and execution of electrical systems for federal building projects. This role requires extensive experience with AutoCAD, AutoDesk, or Revit, and a strong background in federal building standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position is 1 day a week remote.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Planning:
- Develop detailed electrical designs and plans using AutoCAD, AutoDesk, or Revit software.
- Ensure designs comply with federal building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct site assessments to determine electrical requirements and specifications.
- Project Management:
- Oversee the installation and implementation of electrical systems in federal building projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Quality Control and Compliance:
- Perform regular inspections and quality control checks on electrical installations.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with relevant regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during construction.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including design plans, progress reports, and compliance records.
- Prepare and submit reports to project stakeholders and federal agencies as required.
- Document changes and updates to project plans and designs.
- Client Interaction:
- Communicate with federal clients to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Present design plans and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Address client concerns and ensure their satisfaction with project outcomes.
