Are you an innovative Electrical Engineer with a passion for technology looking to join a growing organization? The Amazon World Wide Retail Growth and Development Team wants to talk with you about opportunities to advance electrical building system designs for our physical stores.
Key job responsibilities
* Introduce, evolve and implement electrical design standards for Amazon physical grocery stores and support facilities.
* Create efficient, optimized, technical design strategies for building power and lighting systems to achieve carbon and energy focused sustainability goals
* Create and implement retrofit strategies to align open stores with team and company-wide standards
* Collaborate with design team subject matter experts to elevate prototypical design principles
* Own electrical engineering basis of design
* Coordinate efforts with internal partners including procurement, construction, design, real estate, technology, sustainability and operations
* Educate and train internal and external partners on strategies for design integration of approved technologies
A day in the life
This Design Standards role will focus on elevating our electrical building systems through creation of design standards and improvement strategies. Long-term and short-term energy reduction and optimization targets will be developed. As a part of the team, you will align with team-level and company-wide goals while providing safe, efficient, scalable designs. Collaboration with internal partners will be instrumental to align relevant efforts with the overall building standards.
About the team
Worldwide Retail Growth and Development (WWRGD) is a support division for all Amazon Physical Retail businesses. We are responsible for bringing brick & mortar physical retail experiences to our customers. We collaborate with Business Partners from Amazon Fresh, Amazon Go and Whole Foods Market, and support industrial programs that may operate within our Distribution Centers and/or outside of our physical retail spaces.

Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Professional Engineering (PE) License

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $95,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
