Role Summary:You will have the opportunity to lead the technical development of the main ADAS compute platform for Rivian’s next generation vehicles. In this exciting role, you will work with highly motivated and capable engineers to deliver an amazing product to our customers. This position will be based in Palo Alto, CA, and will report to the Sr. Manager, Electronics Design.
Responsibilities:- Support the development, validation, and scaled production of ADAS electronic control units (ECU)
- Plan and execute the bring-up of power supplies, large multicore SoCs, camera interfaces, network devices, and common automotive interfaces
- Design and prototype electrical circuits
- Diagnose both design and manufacturing issues using root cause analyses
- Develop hardware test plans to demonstrate key performance metrics
- Capture and analyze data to validate hardware functional requirements
- Communicate and align priorities with cross functional teams (software, test automation, validation, mechanical, and reliability)
- Generate design disclosure documentation
- Support product launch teams in the ramp and sustainment of Rivian products
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related fields) with 5+ years experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years experience
- Strong EE fundamentals
- Experience with the design and validation of high speed signaling
- Proficiency in schematic capture and design layout tools (Altium and/or Cadence)
- Excellent communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with SoC architecture
- Lab proficiency – hands-on knowledge of equipment and best practices
- Understanding of ISO26262 processes preferred
- Proficiency in scripting in Python preferred
- Simulation of electronics using Ansys, Spice, Matlab, etc preferred
Salary Range for Northern California Based Applicants: $132,100 - $165,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
