Position: Sr. Electrical Engineer
The ideal candidate will be professionally licensed (PE) and have 10+ years’ experience in the development, design, and delivery of capital projects within manufacturing facilities, the Food & Beverage sector is a plus. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing power & controls design for utility system upgrades and/or expansions.
This position will be based in our Alpharetta, GA office location.
Role and Responsibilities
A Sr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for (1) Providing sales support for proposal development, (2) Leading project engineering engagements from concept design through construction & startup, (3) Managing & tracking project budgets with P&L responsibility, and (4) Manage & mentor assigned staff.
A Sr. Electrical Engineer will oversee each project’s conception, design, and specification; and manage scheduling, estimating and procuring of labor, equipment, and materials directly and through the staff that reports to them. They are responsible for panel layout and design, basic power supply design, PLC programming, SCADA/HMI programming, customer interaction, startup and training. Candidates considered for this role must be experienced controls engineers fluent with PLC and SCADA programming. Project management experience is required and experience with programming Allen Bradely systems is a plus.
This role will include:
- Business Travel to & from customer sites, 20 – 25% travel in NA is typical.
- Provide technical guidance to the Sales team for Client opportunities and support Client presentations.
- Management of both internal and external resources and subcontractors to complete projects and meet deadlines.
- Responsible for financial management and timely completion of assigned projects.
- Perform site surveys and data collection on client sites to design new projects.
- Perform electrical & controls engineering analysis of opportunities for improvements that meet customer financial and infrastructure needs.
- Develop investment grade design specifications, drawings, and installation budgets for assigned projects.
- Develop Project Drawings in AutoCAD - Plant 3D or Revit experience is a plus.
- Lead design engineering & provide engineer of record support during the implementation of projects.
- Provide mentoring to the engineering staff of the firm.
Education
- BS Engineering (required)
- MS in Engineering

Qualifications
- Active PE License in at least one US state
- Control System Certifications, and other related certifications are a plus
- Motivated and dynamic person
- Ability to work independently and to manage a team
- Good inter-personal & communication skills
- Experienced individual, with engineering experience in:
- Industrial utility systems power & controls design (e.g. Chilled Water & Heat Pump Systems, Pumping systems, Compressed Air, HVAC, etc.)
- Industrial Electrification Project experience
- Food & Beverage project experience
