Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Strategic Accounts to lead our team of account managers. This pivotal role focuses on the Regional Accounts portion of the Strategic Accounts profile, overseeing the development and execution of annual growth plans for revenue related to parts, service, and the adoption of improved digital solutions. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills and a strong background in customer relationship management. The role requires 50-60% travel and active engagement in customer-facing events, including quarterly business reviews. The Director of Strategic Accounts will report to the VP of Strategic Accounts, who reports to the SVP of Sales of the company.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of account managers, ensuring they achieve their annual growth plans and sales targets.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the team, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.
- Set clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for the team and monitor progress regularly.
- Lead the account managers to leverage their CRM tool for effective pipeline management.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to drive revenue growth from parts, service, and digital solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall company objectives and strategies.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key regional customers in the book of business.
- Lead customer-facing events, including quarterly business reviews, to present performance metrics, discuss future plans, and address any concerns.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Work with field leadership to grow and implement growth strategies for specific regional customers.
Travel and On-Site Engagement:
- Travel frequently (50-60%) to meet with customers, attend industry events, and support account managers in the field.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to build brand awareness and generate leads.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor and report on the performance of strategic regional accounts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Utilize CRM tools and other software to track sales activities, customer interactions, and revenue metrics.
- Prepare and present regular reports on account performance, growth opportunities, and strategic initiatives.

Essential Job Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Strong understanding of parts, service, and digital solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel extensively (50-60%) and manage time effectively while on the road.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Pay Range:USD $165,000.00 - USD $230,000.00 /Yr.Location Type:Remote
