Key Responsibilities
- Sales Support and Customer Relationship Management:
- Increase sales revenue and profit margins of existing, small to mid-size accounts by ensuring their needs are met and providing product recommendations based on technical compatibility, regulatory compliance, and other pertinent considerations.
- Achieve sales quota of new clients and produce revenue and profit margins by nurturing these new connections.
- Provide basic technical support and assist with troubleshooting as needed.
- Utilize eChempax CRM software to update customer information, enter prospective customers, create and update quotations, and manage sample requests.
- Actively prospect for new clients using digital lead services, business directories, and web searches.
- Product and Market Knowledge:
- Develop a strong understanding of our products, including dyes and pigments, to suggest the best-suited products based on customer needs.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and competitive products to provide relevant insights to customers.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance job-related skills and knowledge, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, particularly in relation to sales and customer service.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Chemistry, or a related field preferred.
- High school diploma with 3 years of equivalent experience in an office environment may be considered.
- Skills and Experience:
- Proven ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver excellent customer service.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and basic knowledge of WordPress; knowledge of CRM software such as Salesforce or HubSpot. eChempax experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues professionally.
- A self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn about the specialty chemical industry, including colorants and market trends.
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work well across functions, including sales, R&D, and supply chain.
- Ability to travel as needed, up to 10% of the time.
