Compensation: $177,000 - $220,000 - Base Salary,
35% Bonus, 3800 Stock Options, 950 RSU's

Sr. Director, Market Intelligence
This position is key to the company's leadership team, and oversees one of the core functions of the Strategy and Market Intelligence (SMI) department, sitting within the larger Strategy and Business Development (SBD) organization. It is highly visible within the strategy and commercial organizations, as well as with senior executive management, as it is responsible for the development and implementation of a market intelligence strategy to allow for high-quality and data-driven decision making, as well as accurate representations to investors and analysts
The Sr. Director provides objective, in-depth insights about current and future markets & competitive forces, and oversee forecasting methodologies and analytics. S/he acts as a strategic advisor to the SBD, commercial and product development teams with deep expertise in current and future competitive drivers in the healthcare IT market, as well as functional expertise in how to use intelligence to develop competitive strategies and long-range forecasts.
The Sr. Director sets goals for her/his team, monitors work, and evaluates results to ensure that high-quality output, departmental objectives, and operating requirements are met and to ensure that intelligence-gathering and communication are carried out in a consistent manner with visible results in line with company needs and mission.

The Sr. Director, Market Intelligence is responsible for the following major functional areas/projects for the corporation:
- Market/industry research and analytics
- Competitive Intelligence
- Market and customer segmentation
- Market needs and mindshare tracking
- Customer experience tracking
- Market models
- Customer and sales analysis
- Strategic planning support
- Product development, marketing, and sales strategy input
- Develops and implements a market intelligence strategy, effectively addressing coverage of market trends, competitive landscape, market needs, and customer experience, along with modeling market opportunities to guide corporate, product, marketing and sales strategy.
- Identifies and aggregates existing internal and external data. Identifies gaps in knowledge. Develops and executes plan to fill the gaps through market research and/or data modeling.
- Responsible for the overall design and implementation of all market research and analysis, including the gathering of information related to industry, competitors, market, and product technology trends.
- Commissions, designs, and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data from primary and secondary research.
- Recommends and manages syndicated research purchases to maximize data and insight inflow.
- Encourages his/her team to utilize creative resources and multiple data sources, including but not limited to all forms of primary research, web research, blog monitoring, purchased industry databases, and analyst reports.
- Ensure up-to-date competitive intelligence and assumptions are shared with all appropriate teams (includes competitive data, news flashes, pipeline updates, business area landscape reviews).
- Lead competitive threat assessments to develop rigorous team assumptions about key competitors.
- Field intelligence facilitation.
- Work on innovative programs to increase the value of competitive intelligence processes and practice, and analyze the success of these programs.
- As a member of the Strategy and Market Intelligence management team, assists in developing SMI's strategic plan aligned with the company's long-range plan.
- Develops and recommends an annual plan for the Market Intelligence department. The plan will set out objectives, plans, budgets, and specific activities to be pursued in each area of responsibility.
- Identifies market data trends and leading indicators that influence strategic and tactical decisions across the company including organic growth and acquisition plans.
- Works closely with the SMI and Corporate Development teams to evaluate market adjacencies and inorganic growth opportunities.
- Makes presentations appropriate to Senior Management on Marketing Intelligence findings with strategic recommendations for actions.
- Keeps abreast of changing industry trends and demographics and other relevant issues that informs peers and upper management in a timely manner.
- Develops creative metrics and methods to push timely and relevant information to various audiences in a user-friendly manner, in order to constantly raise the organization's Market and Industry IQ.
- Actively facilitates the translation of competitive intelligence and market research into impactful strategic and commercial results through deep interaction with stakeholders.
- Assesses market demand and validates investments in specific product areas.
- Across worldwide markets, serves as Omnicell's central point of expertise for market insights that are grounded in best practices and innovation.
- Participates in the company's master data management key to commercial execution, including leading some workstreams and efforts.
- Leveraging sophisticated research designs, inform new product introductions with optimal pricing strategy.
- Continually measures efficacy of marketing and sales efforts, such as market mindshare tracking, product launch, and marketing campaign effectiveness; provides suggestions for adjustments as needed.
- Focuses on intelligence-gathering activities directed at supporting revenue growth.
- Works with product management, marketing, and sales teams to develop and maintain clear customer/market segmentation models for guiding product launches, targeted messaging, and sales strategy.
- Tracks market positioning and share, including quarterly reports to our CFO office to support earnings reporting and discussions with investors and analysts.
- Maintains a strong Market Intelligence (MI) function by making excellent decisions in hiring, promotion, utilization, retention, and compensation of staff.
- Effectively selects outside primary and secondary research vendors and manages and monitors their progress.
- Provides strong, effective, and highly visible leadership to the MI team to capitalize on the full potential of this most critical resource.
- Ensures MI team members are inspired, motivated, and guided to contribute fully to the realization of Omnicell's mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
- Empowers employees to identify innovative approaches to enhance organizational performance.
- Manages and develops high-potential, versatile talent to achieve the organizational goals and grow into future senior managers for Omnicell.
- Develops and manages the annual department budget based on carefully planned needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong self-starter

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in business, marketing, statistics, economics field of study
- At least 10 years of experience in market intelligence and analysis functions
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative market research techniques, competitive intelligence gathering, and market modeling
- 5 years of experience in a leadership role
