The Sr. Director, Finance Technology is part of the HR and Finance Leadership team and has responsibility for Finance and other corporate areas’ Technology Delivery and Operational Excellence. The candidate will provide leadership in building relationships across technology and business teams to create business capabilities and priorities, ensure operational excellence of existing applications, and develop an execution plan to successfully deliver on key strategic milestones. The role interacts with functional and business leadership to align the strategic plan and budget to overall business objectives and priorities.
This role will work with business and GTS peers and stakeholders in ensuring strategic business outcomes are met through project delivery across the globe.
This role will apply deep subject matter expertise of best practice standard processes and technologies to identify, develop, and support strategic initiatives that align to business strategy and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and build an organization of 15-20 team members through an agile and product practice model.
- Thought leadership around engineering, finance, and technology to deliver the optimal business outcomes around all initiatives and processes
- Deliver the Lace-up strategy while leveraging consultive third parties, and leading multiple large scale (multi-million dollar) initiatives inclusive of Oracle transformation
- Work closely with HR and Finance Leadership team to ensure alignment of initiatives and priorities
- Create an effective communication strategy to align key business stakeholders to an evolving Finance Roadmap
- Manages Finance systems process responsible for global Scoping, Requirements, Estimation, Budgeting, and Resource Forecasting.
- Collaborates with the Global Technology Solutions (GTS), business unit leaders, and service managers to develop and manage budgeting and cost estimation approaches, resource allocation, and reallocations
- Defines principles and standards to harmonize processes and governance from third party or external service providers
- Create deliverables in accordance with leading best practices around all processes accountable to the role
- Balance the needs of existing platforms such as PeopleSoft and other ancillary systems while guiding the transformation to new Oracle platform.
- Manage the resolution of cross-functional and cross-platform issues, tradeoffs, and risk in accordance with strategic business objectives
- Take ownership for current in-flight solutions and their development and provide value-add expertise to shape further delivery at a global scale
- Elevate engineering and solution architecture practices to best-in-class.
- Build a delivery and engineering excellence
- Communicate a compelling future state for internal and external stakeholders, develop and motivate talent, and influence without authority.
- Develop leadership team to build succession plans and create multipliers for delivery across the globe
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of finance technology project delivery and operations leadership excellence
- Organizational leadership, personnel and performance management
- Expertise in major player out of the box “buy” solutions such as Oracle, SAP, Fexa, PeopleSoft, Accruent and others
- Knowledge of industry leading Finance data driven technology and processes
- Experience leading technology roadmaps and overseeing full life cycle implementations at enterprise level
- Hands-on experience in resource planning, reporting, prioritization, and budgeting
- Ability to handle ambiguity, fast-paced environments, anticipate needs and provide solutions
- Experience in business transformation into operational excellence
- Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and DevOps
- Experience in collaborating with off-shore and on-shore partners and resource models
The annual base salary range is $173,000-$250,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
