Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$151,500 - $222,200Major Projects Delivery
- Develop innovative ways to deliver projects faster and ultimately ensures that projects are delivered on time and as intended the first time
- Coordinate DPEM cross-functional project teams
- Serves as the escalation point in managing challenges and removing barriers during project execution
- Reach out and connect with central functions, resources and/or Sites to engage the appropriate SMEs and leadership required to support project implementation
- Build strong relationships with new, strategic contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) by establishing adequate governance and frequently visiting sites to connect with respective Sr. leadership
- Function as the “Business owner” in the relationship with CMOs until Project completion (PV/submission)
- Foster discussions with CMOs to continuously assess strategic opportunities to optimize project outcomes to meet Lilly’s needs (e.g., capacity, flexibility)
DPEM Project Management Function
- Serve as a core member of the DPEM Lead Team
- Lead, Coach and mentor members of the DPEM Project Management team
- Innovate the PM approach in terms of processes, tools and governance for DPEM Project Management across all platforms
- Capture lessons learned across projects to optimize outcomes and enhance DPEM’s approach to Tech Transfers
- Lead the internal governance on the DPEM Projects agenda and provide regular updates to Lilly Sr Leadership
- Develop strategies to optimize timelines of tech transfer projects, with consideration to expense management and loss minimization.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or scientific degree
- 10+ years in Making Medicines; 5+ years leading cross functional project teams
Additional Skills/ Preferences
- MS or MB
- Experience working at a manufacturing site
- Experience as a Lead Team member of an external manufacturing team
- Experience managing CMOs
- Experience in leading/participating in various cross-functional environments and demonstrated ability to balance competing interests, priorities, and organizational needs with project expectations
- Thorough technical understanding of the quality systems and regulatory requirements,
- LEAN / Six Sigma Black Belt experience
- Strong leadership and relationship skills
- Strategic and analytical mindset
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Dynamic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- This is an Indianapolis, IN based role
