✔ FINANCIAL REPORTING - SEC, 10K, 10Q
BASE: $240k - $260k + BONUS & EQUITY
Responsibilities:
- Manage all areas of accounting, including but not limited to month-end close, accounts payable, payroll, taxes, and related internal reporting
- Oversee the preparation of quarterly and year-end SEC filings (10-Q and 10-K), including financial and business sections, risk factors, footnotes, MD&A, iXBRL tagging, and management review
- Ensure compliance with all SEC, GAAP, FASB rules and regulations and corporate policies
- Design, implement, and maintain internal control processes in accordance with SOX
- Assist SVP of Finance to develop FP&A function to support a growing organization
- Prepare and manage monthly and annual operating budgets
- Work closely with the business to properly account for collaborations and other strategic transactions
- Implement and customize financial systems, as needed
- Continually evaluate opportunities to drive greater efficiencies and effectiveness in the monthly and quarterly accounting close process while ensuring a balanced workload within the organization
- Develop, manage, and mentor a top tier team that proactively drives continuous improvement and works with a collaborative mentality
- Manage the relationship with external auditors and own the successful completion of the year-end audit
- Lead the preparation of annual statutory financial statements for management review and timely filings
- Create and maintain SEC and statutory reporting calendar, coordinate key timelines and deliverables, and work collaboratively with various business partners to ensure timely, accurate, and complete SEC and statutory filings
- Other duties, as assigned
Requirements:
- 10+ years in related experience, biotech experience required
- Big 4 CPA with a bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting required
- Strong knowledge in SEC Reporting and US GAAP
- Strong written, interpersonal & communication skills
- Experience with various financial systems, preferably NetSuite and Coupa
- Ability to manage a complex set of objectives and team goals in a fast-paced environment
- Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to work closely with a senior management team
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
