Position Description:
Ceribell is looking for a Sr Director of Business Development to lead our efforts in accessing new adjacencies, partnering for broader adoption of our technology and managing competitive intelligence. The ideal candidate will bring a track record of success developing and executing strategies for business development with disruptive new medical products. They will execute successful partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions or other arrangements that have added meaningful value to their business. The candidate will bring knowledge of deal execution and how to structure arrangements. This position is based in Sunnyvale, CA with a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive landscape of business development opportunities including pharmaceutical developers in the neuro space, home health and other analytics and data science players in EEG
- Research potential market segments, develop short-list of potential partners and manages the modeled impact for any partnership
- Manage the engagement and process with short-list priority partners, acquisition targets or collaborations
- Maintains a comprehensive fact base on competitors and potential strategic approaches to partnership with alternative segment players
- Supports the development of relationships with potential partners (academic and private) and ensures a regular cadence with those
- Supports preparation for ELT and Board conversations
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, or other analytics-related fields.
- PhD advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 5-10 years of market access experience with disruptive medical device or pharmaceutical experience
- Experience with pharmaceutical clinical trials and drug development highly preferred
- Background in consulting, investment banking or private equity preferred

A candidate's final salary offer will be based on their skills, education, work location and experience, and thus it may differ from the posted range. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with Ceribell's corporate compensation plan.
