Director, Application Delivery – Remote, USA We are seeking an experienced Sr.
Director of Application Deliver to lead our dynamic teams focused on developing specialized end-user solutions for our physicians, patients and health system partners.
As a key member of our leadership, you will play a crucial role in steering the development of innovative software solutions, adapted keenly to customer experience and workflow, while instilling in our teams best practices in cloud software development (Scaled Agile etc.) and maintaining rigorous design control.Essential FunctionsLeadership: Direct and inspire multiple software engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Leading a team of 20-40 membersStrategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive software engineering roadmap aligned with the business goals of Ambry GeneticsTechnical domain: Possess a deep understanding of front-end development technologies, back-end architecture design and cloud native services (i.e.
AWS), so you can provide guidance and insight to teams. Scientific domain: Possess experience with germline clinical diagnostics, lab instrumentation automation and bioinformatics, so you can provide guidance to teams working on analysis and reporting applications.Innovation: Drive innovation in software engineering, staying abreast of industry trends so you can integrate these cutting-edge technologies into our technology stack. Architecture acumen: Architect and oversee implementation of scalable reference architecture for our systems, so they can be configurable to adapt to evolving needs of our customers.Quality: Implement best practices for software development, code review, ensuring compliance with quality, security standards needed for medical device software.Team development: Mentor, develop engineering talent, fostering continuous learning and career growth.Other duties as assignedQualificationsExperience with LIMS and/or lab instrumentation automation projects.Experience contributing to a scalable architecture/design of existing and new systems that are highly available and easy to maintain and monitor.Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining highly complex asynchronous messaging and backend processing jobs.Practical experience and understanding of working with and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g.
