Sr. Data Specialist at eStaffLLC

We are seeking a Sr. Data Specialist for a 6 month hybrid assignment working with our Austin, Texas client. This position requires that you be in the Austin, Texas area.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* Assess and analyze current data architecture, tools, and processes

* Evaluate existing data infrastructure and identify gaps/improvement areas

* Conduct technical discovery sessions with IT teams

* Develop As Is architecture and tools environment and To Be future state architecture recommendations

* Create detailed technical specifications and diagrams

* Provide expertise on industry best practices and emerging technologies

* Assess security and access requirements

* Document technical findings and recommendations

* Contribute to implementation roadmap and strategy

* Collaborate with PM to ensure business and technical alignment

Requirements:

* 10+ years of experience in data architecture, business intelligence, and analytics

* Deep technical expertise across multiple BI/visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview, etc.)

* Proven experience with technical assessments, business and technical recommendations and technical roadmaps

* Experience assessing and recommending technical architectures and tools

* Experience designing and implementing data warehouses and ETL processes

* Strong background in data modeling, SQL, and database technologies

* Previous consulting experience delivering data/analytics solutions

* Public sector experience, particularly city/county IT projects preferred

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Experience creating technical documentation and architecture diagrams

* Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
