Client - Major Financial Firm
Role - Sr. Data Analyst - Risk Reporting
Rate - $66.67/HR on W2 (OT past 40 hours = $100/HR)
Duration - 10 Month Assignment (possible extension)
Location - Long Island City Queens NYC 11101
The role involves coordinating Data Quality efforts beyond Global Functions into other Business areas yet impacting the Consumers of Data Services throughout.
The person will be part of FRI Data Services organization with key responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Actively supports the FRI efforts to improve data quality by adopting data standards and providing accurate data for reporting.
• Coordinating Data Quality efforts beyond Global Functions into other Business areas yet impacting the Consumers of Data Services throughput.
• Work with reporting and consumption teams to identify and collate data requirements for different types of reporting e.g. US and Local Regulatory Reporting, Liquidity Reporting, CCAR, Client and beyond
• Maintain and enhance Product Data Models and DQ Scorecards in conjunction based on these requirements, implementation and ongoing maintenance
• Project plan scorecard rollouts in coordination with Chief Data Office, Technology and Consumption / Requirements teams
• Work as part of the GENESIS program to adopt new / changes to Banking Data Standards
• Overall Critical Data Element and Business Rules management
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree required
• 5+ years' experience in Finance and/or Risk organizations
• Root Cause Analysis and Data Mining experience
• Proficient in data modeling and querying databases
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL
• Financial and Accounting experience with Markets & Banking products
• Experience providing status reporting and presentation materials to Senior Management
• Proven track record of process transformations, including technology integration beneficial
• Proven track record collaborating and building relationships and influencing across an organization
• Outstanding analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills coupled with strong finance and internal control skills
• Personally demonstrates the desire for continuous learning and creates environments where employees are provided development opportunities
• Ability to understand the strategic direction and deliver successful results in a complex and cross-functional organization
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, able to build a broad base of support among key decision makers.
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables, excellent time management skills and prioritize appropriately.
• Ability to identify and drive change by thinking "out of the box "
