Job Details
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. This position plays a crucial role in driving our business forward by providing actionable insights through data analysis. As a key part of our engineering team, you will be responsible for interpreting complex data and turning it into information which can offer ways to improve our business, thus affecting business decisions. You will have to use the relevant digital tools, strategies, and methods to collect and analyze data, and to carry out tasks related to collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing data sets and developing data-driven recommendations for business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data analytical solutions.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytic systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks.
3. Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex data sets.
4. Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for data sets.
5. Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.
6. Work directly with management and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships.
7. Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across data sets.
8. Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business outcomes.
9. Implement a comprehensive management plan for each project you work on, including milestones, timelines, and budgets.
10. Implement and handover data solutions to the operational teams and ensure the implemented solutions are understood and used.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics. Master’s degree preferred.
2. 5+ years of experience in a data analyst role, preferably in the engineering industry.
3. Proficiency with data mining, SQL, ETL, Python, and Azure.
4. Strong experience in data models and reporting packages.
5. Ability to analyze large datasets and write comprehensive reports.
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
7. An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving.
8. Attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver.
9. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Experience in project management and data-driven decision making.
11. Ability to translate complex findings and results into a compelling narrative.
12. Proven experience delivering data-driven solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.
13. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams and independently.
