The Sr. Cyber Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating cyber risk exposure and underwriting insurance policies for businesses in various sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of emerging risks in the cyber landscape, along with the ability to assess and mitigate these risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' cyber risk profiles to determine appropriate insurance coverage.
- Evaluate and underwrite cyber insurance applications, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and risk appetite.
- Stay updated on emerging cyber trends, particularly in Web3, Blockchain, and Crypto, to inform underwriting decisions.
- Collaborate with broker partners to provide expert advice and support during the underwriting process.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to facilitate business growth and client retention.
- Provide training and support to junior underwriters and team members on cyber underwriting best practices.
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting, with a focus on cyber insurance preferred.
- Strong understanding of cyber risk assessment methodologies and risk management strategies.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and their associated risks, particularly in Web3, Blockchain, and Crypto.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders.
