The Sr. Collections Manager provides support to the collections team and is responsible for overall performance of the Credit and Collections department. This position monitors key KPI to ensure Collections team and vendors are meeting expectations and are following company policies and regulatory requirements., Provide analysis and KPI to senior leadership. Is a key contributor to strategic planning and initiatives.
What you will do to contribute to the company's success
- Provides leadership and strategic direction to a high-performing Collections team and external vendors. Cultivates, pursues and promotes a culture of continued excellence through individual and team growth.
- Negotiates and approves collections and plant damage vendor contracts, sets key vendor goals and monitors key vendor metrics. Implements vendor performance management strategies including RFPs and champion-challenger programs.
- Oversees credit scoring process and vendor (Experian), partnering with Residential Services and senior leadership to ensure a proper balance is maintained between sales and bad debt risk.
- Has a thorough understanding of the DebtNext software platform and how it can be used to improve vendor performance and operational efficiencies.
- Monitors receivable trends for all brands and reports concerns to senior leadership.
- Monitors the performance of the new billing system (ACP) and reports irregularities as needed.
- Remains highly focused on nonpay churn and partners with residential and business service to support retention efforts.
- Takes on other duties needed to help drive our Purpose, fulfill our Brand Principles, and abide by our Organization's Values.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree or equivalent
- Master's degree preferred
- Experience in an internal collections or accounts receivable position with management experience
- Experience managing third party collection agency operations
