Our company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals in our fast-paced, high-growth environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, account reconciliation, forecasting, and business analysis. Familiarity with Oracle and SAP is a plus. This position requires 3+ years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
2. Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
3. Prepare and complete internal cost audits.
4. Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
5. Collaborate with the financial department and other business units for budgeting and forecasting.
6. Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory, liability accounts by customer.
7. Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research, and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability.
8. Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules, and others.
9. Ensure timely submission, accuracy, and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management.
10. Work in compliance with company policies and procedures.
11. Carry out other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA, CMA, or other related certification preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of cost accounting or related experience.
3. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
4. Proficiency with Oracle, SAP, and other related financial software. (preferred)
5. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Excellent computer skills with strong proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
9. Demonstrated ability to work confidentially with discretion.
10. Proven ability to function well in a team-oriented environment.
