Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Cost Accountant to join our team. The role involves applying accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward, and cost analysis
2. Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories
3. Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by customer type by division
4. Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability
5. Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2. Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Manufacturing industry
3. Must have experience with bill of materials
4. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
