We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and driven Senior Construction Project Manager to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, construction management, budgeting, contract management, quality control, and scheduling. This is a permanent position, offering a chance to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of construction project management from planning to implementation.
2. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
3. Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
4. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring a high level of quality and efficiency.
5. Implement and oversee quality control programs, ensuring all work meets or exceeds the company and industry standards.
6. Develop and manage project schedules, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
7. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards.
8. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to deliver high-quality commercial projects.
9. Resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the construction process.
10. Prepare and present project reports and updates to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in construction project management, specifically with commercial projects.
2. Proven experience in construction management, contract management, budgeting, and scheduling.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
4. Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
6. A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality control.
7. Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
8. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) or Construction Management (CCM) is a plus.
10. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
