Program Management
Sr. Construction Delivery Director
Position Description:
· Oversight of multi-campus capital project construction management teams for the delivery of completed construction projects;
· Oversight of the program’s quality management system;
· Maintenance and regular updating of procedural systems required for assuring compliance with District and regulatory requirements;
· Interfacing with multi-campus administrations to ensure the coordination of campus operations with ongoing construction activities;
· Coordination of program management team planning for construction procurement, delivery, and close-out;
· Provide regular summary reports identifying individual project performance for costs, schedule, and quality;
· Oversight of and reporting on construction managers’ risk management/mitigation and change management operations;
· Review recommended actions for resolving construction project disputes;
· Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Experience:
· 15 years of experience in the management of capital construction projects
· Minimum 8 years in the management of projects for California educational facilities
· Minimum 5 years in the management of multi-campus capital programs
· Increasing responsibilities to include senior level oversight of multi-project programs
· Management of successful projects ranging in cost between $10M and $80M
· BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management or a closely related field. Additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.
Additional Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
· Experience applying Building Information Modeling (BIM) to projects
· Knowledge of all parts of the project life cycle, to include master planning, design and closeout
· Experience in alternative delivery methods
· Experience with using a web based project management system such as Proliance
· Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
· Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes or similar
· A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the California State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
A valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI
