Senior Commercial Loan Review Analyst (Travel up to 50%)
Location : Jersey City, NJ
Salary : 100-125K + 7% Bonus
Required :
Perform all functions related to the review & evaluation of Multifamily & CRE mortgage loans and portfolios pledged to the bank, then prepare and present final reports to Senior Management. The due diligence process will include a review of Credit documents, including appraisal reports, property income & expense statements, etc., and complete a new cash-flow analysis. The due diligence process also includes a review of loan Collateral documentation, including Notes, Mortgages, Title Insurance Policies, etc., and the review of member banks commercial real estate lending policies & procedures. The position involves interacting with the bank & member bank senior management. Additional duties will be assigned as needed and may include cross-training in support of the residential review process.

BA or BS in Business related field or Liberal Arts; or relevant industry experience

Senior Commercial Loan Review Analyst (Travel up to 50%)
Location : Jersey City, NJ

Required :
- Must have 2+ years of Multi-family & CRE underwriting/cash-flow analysis -OR- 2+ years of Multi-family & CRE appraisal experience. Commercial loan review, appraisal review or legal document review is a plus.
- Computer literacy, and strong working knowledge of spreadsheet & word processing programs is also required.

Essential Duties :

The due diligence process also includes a review of loan Collateral documentation, including Notes, Mortgages, Title Insurance Policies, etc., as well as the review of member banks' commercial real estate lending policies & procedures.
- Loan & Portfolio Reviews may involve travel up to 50% of the time . Travel to member bank locations may include air, rail, rental car, or vehicle driving. The method of transportation is typically governed by cost-effectiveness. Overnight stays can be required and may extend up to two weeks consecutively.
- Employees must be able to travel any time of the year to any geographic location within the US, Puerto Rico & The US Virgin Islands, and handle extended timeframes for review, and flexibility with short-notice scheduling. Conditions at on-site locations and accommodations may vary; as such, employees must be able to handle various working conditions.
- Manage as Lead Analyst or participate as an Analyst in reviewing members' commercial real estate mortgage collateral, ensuring compliance with the Bank's credit and collateral policies, operating standards, procedures, guidelines, and FHFA Regulations and Advisory Bulletins. Manage workflow and perform timely follow-ups to issues identified during reviews.
- Evaluate member-pledged mortgage collateral using the Bank's approved collateral valuation methodology and data capture application. Evaluate and test collateral files to determine conformity and compliance with regulatory guidance and Bank policy and procedures. Evaluate financial and credit components of members' reported financial data.
- Prepare a summary report of review findings and recommendations for an adjustment to risk margins being applied. Participate in management meetings when necessary, presenting review results and recommendations.
- Collaborate with other departments or members to improve data submissions. Perform additional departmental assignments or projects as needed.
- Review & analyze pledge requests of loans $25 million and greater. Prepare written recommendations regarding loan acceptance or denial.
- Keep abreast of credit guidelines and legal documentation requirements in The USA, Puerto Rico & US Virgin Islands.
- Work with Legal Department in the review, evaluation and analysis of members' purchase, servicing, custodial, and participation/syndication agreements, encumbering pledged collateral to determine impact to eligibility and perfection of security interest.
- Recommend and oversee enhancements to review process and due diligence procedures, supporting systems and testing thereof, associated policies, operating standards, procedure and guideline revisions to coordinate with changes initiated by regulation, management or industry standards.
- Stay abreast of federal regulations, policies, internal procedures and other compliance requirements that govern or impact all types of pledged collateral.
Education :
BA or BS in Business related field or Liberal Arts; or relevant industry experience
Skills :
- Strong written and oral communication skills; Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. PC literacy in spreadsheet, word processing and data base applications.
- Valid State Driver's License required. Proficiency in Spanish language is a plus.
