Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Clinical Coordinator, RN, to oversee the daily operations of our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. This supervisory role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing staff, and coordinating procedures within the unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care, leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the nursing and technical staff in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Coordinate daily procedures and schedules to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Implement and monitor compliance with healthcare policies, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in the development and implementation of training programs for staff.
- Ensure the Cardiac Cath Lab is adequately equipped and stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Monitor patient care for quality assurance and improvement.
- Provide direct patient care when necessary, demonstrating advanced clinical skills in cardiac care.
- Assist in budget preparation and management for the Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Participate in research activities and stay updated on advancements in cardiac care and catheterization procedures.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in DC or eligibility for licensure.
- BSN required, MSN or related advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a cardiac care setting.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
- Certification in Cardiac Vascular Nursing or Critical Care Nursing is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare technology.
