PURPOSE AND SCOPE:Provides Change Management leadership and expertise to clinical and administrative staff to achieve successful operational and business performance improvement and supports the delivery of high quality and safe patient-centric care. In partnership with other Operational Excellence disciplines handles both, business and technical discussions and is responsible for the overall vision, direction, management, implementation, sustained control, and completion of assigned projects ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies. Partners with various departments across Fresenius Medical Care to provide expertise in change management to a broad range of large size projects or programs of moderate to high complexity for divisions or enterprise-wide improvement and optimization initiatives. Serves as subject matter expert and leader in the principles and tools of change management methodology under the Operational Excellence organization to achieve exceptional levels of operational and clinical outcomes. Facilitates & engages teams that will create & deliver change management strategies and plans that accelerate the adoption of new processes and programs. Devotes time developing skills within the Operational Excellence Team and across the organization.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under minimal supervision, provides change management project/program support and guidance across all OpEx functions through the project lifecycle, serving as the change management expert.
- Identifies and assess change impacts by conducting impact analyses, assessing change readiness, and identifying key stakeholders.
- Develops and executes targeted stakeholder readiness, engagement and communications plans that implement the right tactics at the right time to support and enable employees to adopt desired changes at all levels of the organization, while also supporting broad, company-wide awareness and support for change efforts.
- Partners with technical and business members and leaders to develop impactful stakeholder needs analysis, targeted communications, and change measurement resources, tools and artefacts that can be used to measurably drive change adoption by executive leaders, people leaders, and front-line employees.
- Develops and implements metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure change management plan progress. Regularly report on change adoption metrics, and look for ways to continuously measure, evaluate and improve the change management process.
- Applies a structured methodology and leads change management activities by leveraging processes, tools, and templates that creates a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by projects/initiatives.
- Supports the implementation of specific change management strategies including planning, identification of risks, coordination with stakeholders, and overcoming of obstacles to change.
- Develops, supports, and executes communication efforts by enabling the design, development, delivery and management of key communications.
- Leverages existing organizational change tools and frameworks to develop, manage, and refine comprehensive change strategies and transition plans for complex, high-impact organizational initiatives.
- Works on issues of diverse scope to deliver improvements and transformational change. Project scope may require analysis of several factors, including understanding current business trends.
- Plays an active role in team meetings to facilitate knowledge sharing, discussion of current challenges and potential roadblocks, and stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in change management, bringing innovative ideas and approaches to the organization.
- Bridge knowledge gaps in projects by requesting and managing / developing additionally required capabilities & resources.
- Coordinate & communicate with all levels of senior management, appropriate project teams and process owners to ensure projects are integrated with the business strategy, other transformational business projects.
- Partners and collaborates with functional and operational leaders, to ensure smooth organizational transitions.
- Prepares stakeholder engagement and training plans that align with change implementation and is comprehensive of all stakeholders.
- Technically proficient in Operational Excellence industry practice and business principles – Change Management, Project/Program Management, Continuous Improvement, or Data Analytics, while mastering skills in at least one of the key principles
- Participates and presents at meetings with internal and external representatives. Often leading a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
- Develops, supports, and executes change management training efforts by providing input, documenting requirements, and supporting the design and delivery of educational programs.
- Responsible for curriculum and training development, education instruction, and facilitation of workshops to support operational excellence organizational learning within the functions managed. May assist in the development of team members to deliver and implement transformational change and improvements. May provide guidance and assistance to junior level staff with more complex tasks that require a higher level of understanding of functions. Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Master’s Degree desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certified Change Management Practitioner (Prosci CCMP) or equivalent certification required.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- 5 – 8 years of operational excellence, project management, continuous improvement, change management, and healthcare related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years’ change management, applying and implementing organizational change management methodologies required.
- Instructional design, curriculum design, content and course development experience preferred.
- Ability to interact with senior management on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.
- Ability to manage cross functional program and project teams.
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships and leverage existing stakeholder relationships within organizations.
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to construct business case analysis.
- Ability to translate business requirements into work change management plans that sync with the project breakdown structures and realization plans.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
