Sr Business Analyst – SAP Group Reporting / Consolidations - Viasat, Inc.

What you'll do:

This position is responsible for supporting SAP Group Reporting, SAC Reporting, and ensuring the end user is using the system effectively, and assisting Multi-National Finance, Accounting and Consolidation Teams. 

The day-to-day:

• Group Reporting administration, maintaining and tracking of hierarchy/system updates, Financial Reporting, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting system issues.
• Strong experience with mapping data and reporting
• Help with supporting SAP MDG and managing the Master Data Process across ERP systems
• Help with supporting Central Finance, managing mappings, addressing Master Data issues and various other AIF errors
• Support Finance/Accounting team with questions relating to the Group Reporting, S4 General Ledger activity and SAC reporting needs
• Help define security groups related to Group Reporting, MDG, SAC and Central Finance
• Develop various reports (SAC Excel add in and Web version) to help support external reporting, internal reporting and finance operations.
• Validate and trouble shoot data coming from Non-SAP ERP systems
• Troubleshoot end user issues and develop end user training documentation

What you'll need:

• Minimum of 3 years working with SAP Consolidation Systems (BPC or Group Reporting)
• BS in Accounting, Business, or Information Systems
• Familiarity with business intelligence and reporting in the finance domain
• Experience working in a SOX controlled environment
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven team player with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic agile work environment
• Travel up to 10%
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Knowledge of Sap Analytics Cloud or Analysis for Office
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel (including VBA)
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing
• Strong problem-solving skills

• Understanding of Oracle ERP
• Understand of Planning Processes for SAC Planning/Hyperion
• SAP S4 Hana
• Understanding of Finance Master Data and how it drives the transactional system

Salary range:$107,500.00 - $153,500.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $133,000.00- $180,000.00/ annually :At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
