Honeywell’s ACST team is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer for our Chandler, AZ location.


• Citizenship Required: United States Citizenship

• Clearance Required: Yes; you must either currently have or be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance.

• Telecommute: No - Teleworking not available for this position

• Travel Required: Some travel required – 20%

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:


• Lead the development and implementation of automation strategies to optimize manufacturing processes.

• Design and optimize automated systems to improve efficiency and quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance in automation technologies and best practices.

• Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers.

• Support and assist the maintenance and facilities team in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and chronic equipment failures related to control systems.


US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS


• Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

•5+ years of professional controls engineering experience.

•5+ years of advanced PLC programming knowledge on Rockwell, Siemens, or equivalent PLCs in a production environment.

•5+ years of experience with plant applications such as MES, BMS, and others.

•Experience with commissioning and troubleshooting production equipment such as torque controllers, robotics, computer servers, testing equipment, and/or others.

•Software applications programming experience.

•Understanding of databases and various program languages (MySQL, Python, etc.).

•Proven project management experience.

•Proficient in working with and creating electrical diagrams and prints.

•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
