About the job
As an Associate on the Finance & Operations team – you are at the center of shaping the growth & revenue trajectory of furniture.com and report directly to our Head of Finance & Operations. As part of this role, you will drivestrategic decisions, manage finance ops for our existing business and lead projects that turnour latest technologyadvancements into new revenue streams. This will include identifying & evaluating opportunities, structuring & breaking down problems, building financial models, developing& communicating recommendations while also being inventive and resourceful to execute and implement. You'll work in a highly stimulating, fast-paced, cross-functional environment with an incredible team and endless opportunities for impact and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Financial planning & analyses
- Lead finance operations, set up and run key finance processes (e.g. invoicing, payment processing & reconciliation)
- Analyze financial performance, develop & manage revenue forecast & planning
- Assess & monitor value creation and ROI for furniture.com and its customers
- Developfinancial models to support strategic decision-making
- Conduct analyses & present recommendations for executive & advisory board meetings
- Strategy & business insights
- Drive identification & evaluation of future business & revenue opportunities
- Develop end-to-end business models for technology & data services of furniture.com –including commercial (e.g., pricing, economics) & go-to-market strategy
- Refine & evolve pricing strategy, monitor current pricing and model new pricing options
- Become a trusted business partner across divisions through improving efficiencies across the organization and driving accountability with metrics and analytical support
- Conduct consumer & market research to assess potential of new ideas
Qualifications
- Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Finance / Investment Banking, Venture Capital, Private Equity or top-tier Management Consulting
- Financial acumen required; expert financial modeler
- Experience in technology, and consumer/retail preferred
- MBAand/or CFA preferred
- Individual skills
- Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively cross-functionally
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English

The base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $175,000per year and is eligible for an annual bonus.
The position is based in New York City. Hybrid, in-person 3 days per week.
