Make a difference as a Sr. Application Development Engineer

As the Sr. Application Development Engineer at Reliant Holdings, you will play a pivotal role in leading and prioritizing the IT department's application development and support initiatives. Your expertise will span across the entire solution ecosystem, allowing you to perform essential enhancements, updates, and maintenance on our technology stack.

You will create and manage an effective development and support pipeline, acting as the lead technical resource on various projects while ensuring alignment with the organization's broader IT strategy. Your focus will be on delivering scalable and integrable applications that meet business needs and eliminate redundancies. By collaborating with internal teams and external consultants, you will identify potential areas for improvement and contribute to the planning of application releases.

Additionally, you will draft and maintain key documentation, provide user training, and develop Agile methodologies, all while pursuing ITIL certification to enhance your expertise within our forward-thinking IT department.

Requirements for this Sr. Application Development Engineer job

To succeed as a Sr. Application Development Engineer at Reliant Holdings, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have a minimum of 5 years of prior work experience in application development and support. Essential skills include proficiency in MSSQL management and T-SQL scripting, along with expert-level Excel capabilities.

Candidates are expected to lead diverse teams towards common objectives while demonstrating strong analytical problem-solving and debugging skills. Familiarity with data migration and analytics platforms, such as Power BI, Scribe, SSIS, and SSRS, is essential for driving data-driven decisions. Experience working in an ITIL environment and a comprehensive understanding of the application development lifecycle and incident management will further enhance your capabilities in this role.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are crucial for collaborating effectively with developers and interfacing with various stakeholders to design flowcharts and resolve challenges efficiently. Additionally, attaining Microsoft Power Platform certifications within the first 180 days is required to ensure alignment with our technological standards.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field required.
• Having or acquiring Microsoft Power Platform certifications required within first 180 days of employment.
• Experience leading application development and support teams.
• Experience working in an ITIL environment.
• Experience in application development lifecycle and incident management.
• 5+ years of relevant prior work experience required.
• Ability to manage and lead a team of diverse interests towards a common goal.
• MSSQL management and T-SQL scripting capabilities are a must.
• Must be an Excel expert.
