We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sr Systems Analyst to join our Supply Chain Technology team. The Senior Systems Analyst collaborates with business partners, infrastructure teams, and application development teams to deliver and maintain technology solutions. This role focuses on the administration, maintenance, and monitoring of Supply Chain technology platforms and applications, ensuring stability, scalability, and future growth. The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for troubleshooting, responding to issues, and conducting root-cause analysis, while also working on platform improvements and ensuring compliance with security standards.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
System Analysis and Administration:
- Collaborate with business partners, development teams, and infrastructure teams to refine, secure, test, and debug system capabilities.
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT platforms, including applications, servers, and cloud environments, with a focus on Supply Chain systems.
- Build partnerships across teams to promote collaboration and deliver effective solutions that span multiple IS areas.
- Author and maintain system and process documentation, such as workflow charts, diagrams, and system specifications.
- Conduct peer reviews and provide guidance to team members as needed. Suggest improvements to delivery workflows for increased efficiency.
Monitoring and Support:
- Design and implement system monitoring and alerting strategies. Use tools like AppDynamics and SolarWinds to identify potential issues.
- Respond to system anomalies, support requests, and incidents related to platform performance, availability, and security.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for system-related incidents and facilitate resolutions for issues involving infrastructure or externally managed dependencies.
- Document solutions and maintain a knowledge base for the resolution of repetitive requests and inquiries.
Infrastructure and Compliance:
- Ensure software and infrastructure components are up-to-date with necessary patches. Coordinate updates with partner teams.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, ensuring compliance with standards like ITGC and participating in system compliance audits (e.g., HITRUST).
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures and contribute to system documentation.
Change and Release Management:
- Understand and adhere to change management policies, identifying and executing best practices for streamlined deployments.
- Grade the risk and impact of changes to the platform and assist in planning rollbacks for critical changes.
- Coordinate change activities across internal teams and external vendors to ensure quality expectations are met.
Supply Chain Systems Management:
- Collaborate closely with the IT department to understand supply chain requirements and support future state objectives.
- Provide Level 2/3 support for supply chain-related incidents and problems, ensuring prompt resolution or escalation as necessary.
- Optimize system performance for supply chain operations, promoting stability and scalability.
Continuous Improvement:
- Proactively evaluate new technologies, tools, and practices to enhance system reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to integrate automation, infrastructure as code (IaC), and DevOps practices into platform maintenance.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in system analysis, configuration, and development on relevant platforms.
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise-grade applications, supply chain systems, or IT platforms.
- Familiarity with automation tools, scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, terraform), and cloud platforms.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze business goals to design appropriate solutions.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, SolarWinds, or equivalent.
- Understanding of agile methodologies, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and DevOps practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both business and technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management abilities.
- Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with supply chain or logistics systems (e.g., SAP, WMS).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
