MAXIMUS seeks an experienced and meticulous Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team for a full-time remote position. Our ideal future team member will be a strong individual contributor skilled in cross-functional collaboration. Leveraging your excellent communication skills, you will facilitate discussions between both technical and non-technical stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business needs and requirements. You have strong analytical and quantitative skills and others would describe you as data literate. Enthusiastic about the power and promise of data, you get excited about helping others uncover actionable intelligence so they can make more insightful business decisions. Commanding both an eye for design and a strong grasp of data visualization best practices, you will be able to create stunning and effective business dashboards that enable visual exploration of data and rapid performance monitoring across the organization. Using considerable judgment and initiative you will work to solve complex business and system problems to better the organization. Deeply inquisitive, you consider yourself a lifelong learner and seek out ways to grow and improve.
This person oversees multiple projects to ensure they receive the full benefits of the business intelligence services purchased and meets the projects strategic goals. They use BI tools to analyze data, monitor performance, optimize resources, and communicate insights to stakeholders. This role is crucial for making data-driven decisions that keep projects on track and contribute to overall business success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy advanced methods to analyze operational data and derive meaningful, actionable insights for stakeholders and business development partners.
- Function as point of contact for data and analytical usage across multiple projects, and guide operational partners on product performance and solution improvement/maturity options.
- Analyze extracted data, identify trends and provide insights and analyses around operations and project data.
- Develop and implement new metrics, functions, and scripts as KPIs as needed.
- Code to defined requirements to segment populations from large enterprise datasets, verify data accuracy, and output files per specifications.
- Create and maintain all documentation including obtaining and collecting artifacts as needed.
- Ad hoc tool development to support operational and under served analytical areas.
- Learning emerging technologies and systems of need for company initiatives.
- Activities to support team communication and strategy implementation (meetings, etc.).
- Project management activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Project management experience which includes; fundamentals of scope and budget management, establishing timelines, identifying risks, and creating mitigation plans.
- Experience writing SQL statements against a normalized database
- Experience using an enterprise business intelligence platform such as; MicroStrategy, PowerBI, Tableau, Business Objects, etc.
- Prior consulting experience in government health programs, particularly Medicaid
- Experience with Contact Center management platforms, particularly Genesys

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
