Senior Analyst Direct Tax


Location: Atlanta, GA (Midtown)


Work style: 5 days/wk in office with 40 flex days/yr




Position Summary:


NCR Voyix is looking for a senior tax analyst to join our collaborative and growing Tax Team at our GA Corporate headquarters. This tax professional will play a key role in assisting with all aspects of U.S. domestic income tax compliance and supporting the income tax provision. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated and collaborative individual with corporate tax experience and skills to jump right in and make a difference.




Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



+ Assist with domestic income tax compliance preparation to ensure timely filing of the consolidated federal and state income returns.


+ Prepare detailed workpapers to support U.S. federal and state income tax provision and compliance.


+ Assist with state quarterly estimated payment calculations and payments.


+ Record tax-related journal entries as needed in the general ledger.


+ Prepare/review income tax account reconciliations.


+ Help with federal and state tax notice inquiries, including researching and preparing responses, as well as liaise with outside firms for support as needed.


+ Assist with state and local income tax audits including researching and drafting responses to IDR’s, and identifying and tracking potential tax risks.


+ Proactively identify, develop, and implement process improvements, document tax compliance procedures, and drive tax automation to achieve efficiencies and scalability.


+ Participate on special tax related projects or other tax functions as needed, and collaborate on cross functional tasks initiated by other teams.





Professional Requirements



+ BS Degree in Accounting or Finance; MS in taxation and CPA certification are preferred


+ 2+ years’ federal and state tax compliance work experience in either a large US multinational and/or CPA firm supporting federal and state tax compliance


+ Strong work ethic with high level of accountability


+ Ability to interact independently and effectively with peers and management


+ Possess excellent analytical skills, including the ability to simplify and communicate complex tax issues


+ Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and perform multiple tasks with varying deadlines simultaneously


+ Familiarity with OneSource Income Tax
