Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Air Permitting/Compliance Specialist with a specialization in air permitting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental compliance, particularly in air quality regulations and permitting processes. This role is critical in ensuring our operations meet all federal, state, and local standards. This position can be based out of any of our NJ offices.
Responsibilities:- Develop, implement, and manage air permitting strategies and compliance programs.
- Prepare and submit air permit applications, renewals, and modifications.
- Conduct air quality assessments and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and represent the company during inspections and audits.
- Monitor changes in air quality regulations and update company policies accordingly.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on air quality compliance and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to air permitting and compliance activities.
- Experience with stormwater, wastewater, potable water and solid waste compliance
- Multimedia compliance audit experience
- SPCC and DPCC experience
- Ability to prepare reports, present materials and interact w clients and agencies.
- New business development skills
- NY and PA Knowledge desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in environmental compliance with a focus on air permitting.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local air quality regulations.
- Proven experience in preparing and managing air permit applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
