Location: ALL LOCATIONS & REMOTE
Type: Full-time
Compensation: $55,000 - $150,000 expected 1st year earnings in a draw plus uncapped commission-based payment structure with excellent earning potential.

Summary:
The Advisor Consultant (AC) of Disability (DI) Sales will help develop, and promote the sale of DI insurance, while executing Highlands Disability business strategy and focusing on growth and profitability. A strong partnership will be expected with the Head of RMC Sales and the two will work in tandem to establish objectives, increase DI market share within the various distribution channels, create marketing campaigns that will attract new and orphaned customers and be a partner to all the Highland Sales teams. The individual will serve as the main source of training and sales of all things Disability.
Responsibilities:
- Be the subject matter expert of Disability Insurance inside and outside of Highland Capital
- Find ways to increase Disability Sales by establishing sales plans and identifying approaches to increase sales
- The goal will be to make Highland Capital the industry leader in Disability Sales
- Create campaigns to conduct outbound calls, set up appointments, prospect and profile producers, conduct follow-ups, create meetings, and perform sales presentations
- Work closely with Highland’s marketing team to create year-round DI campaigns and cadences to promote to current and new/prospective advisors
- Support advisors need while building strong relationships and market to them directly where Sales VP’s have missed opportunities
- Grow Disability Insurance Sales by working in coordination with Sales VP’s and Advisor Consultants to maximize customer service and relationships
- Promote and encourage Disability campaigns within the Highland Organization, and attend Sales teams meetings to present DI solutions that will have a direct impact on the generations of revenue for the channel
- Create, plan, and execute sales campaigns including utilization of sales aids and promotional material along with Highland’s marketing team to market direct to DI only producers
- Educate agents on how to plan for the future financial of their clients to prepare for life events that may occur and require Disability insurance
- Be knowledgeable in ways to protect income and asset protection solutions for agent’s clients
- Be knowledgeable in all product offerings of all Highland approved Disability carriers
- Ability to make recommendations to Management on carrier changes based on product availability and relevance to industry trends
- Build campaigns around current block of business to source revenue from benefit increases
- Build campaign along with Marketing team to market direct to producers for their personal DI plans
- Attain all preset Disability Sales Goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- All other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, H.S. Diploma or GED certificate + Significant Practical Experience will be considered.
- Life and Health Insurance License
Basic Requirements:
- 5+ years of insurance sales expertise, preferably with DI products
- 3+ years relevant Financial Services Industry experience
- Proven record of success through achieving/exceeding assigned sales goals
- Proficient in using technology for sales purposes, such as Sales Force
- Persuasive communication skills
- Superior Sales skills with result-oriented focus
- Strong Business acumen
- Ability to engage and leverage network of contacts
- Collaborative work style and be able to collaborate with individuals at all levels of seniority
