A large private CPG company in LA is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to join their team. The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for month-end close, leading the accounting team, and owning the general ledger. To be successful in this role, the Senior Accounting Manager must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be able to drive efficiency, and have an eye for improving processes. What do you need for this Senior Accounting Manager role?
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 8+ years of accounting experience
• Must have public accounting experience
• Must have supervisory experience
• Active CPA highly required
• Must have e-commerce industry experience
• Advanced Excel
What will you do in this Senior Accounting Manager role?
• Oversee the accounting team and manage staff
• Work with executive leadership about how accounting ties into company strategy
• Lead process improvement initiatives
• Manage month-end close and financial reporting
• GL reconciliations, and analyze the balance sheet and P&L
• Draft technical accounting memos and implement new accounting pronouncements
• Act as liaison to the outside CPA firm for the financial statement audit
• Provide variance explanations on budgets to actuals
