A large billion-dollar company is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to join their team. The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for scaling their new entity, managing a team, setting up accounting infrastructure, and developing internal controls. To be successful in this role, the Senior Accounting Manager will need to be a self-starter, able to work in a growing environment, and has strong communication skills. What do you need for this Senior Accounting Manager role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 8-12 years of public and private accounting experience
- Must have public accounting experience
- Active or somewhat close to having an active CPA
- Experience in managing teams of people
- Experience working in high growth companies
- Advanced Excel
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Maintain compliance with US GAAP
- Create and maintain internal controls that comply with company and regulatory policies
- Oversee staff
- Be a strategic partner to the business
- Analyze contracts and investments
- Analyze and eliminate financial risks
- Spearhead process improvement initiatives
- Support onboarding new entities
- Assist with treasury accounting
