This position reports to the Corporate Controller in the Corporate headquarters in West Palm Beach, and the role will include the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting the Controller with the monthly financial reporting close process.
- Maintains and reconciles balance sheet subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies including but not limited to prepaids, fixed assets, inventory, deferred revenue and work-in-progress assets and liabilities.
- Handles treasury function, including recording and reconciling daily bank activity for multiple accounts and entities.
- Assists the accounting team with reconciling and reporting on A/R and A/P control accounts.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing detailed and related account information.
- Performs other key accounting tasks and procedures to support the Company’s financial reporting function.
- Supports both the Controller and FPA Manager in preparing variance analysis and works with the operations organization to provide and validate variance explanations.
- Supports the Controller with evaluating and managing the control environment and assists with the development of processes and procedures to improve the underlying financial and operating control environment.
- Assists FPA Manager in developing and capturing key metrics and analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years similar work experience in accounting
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with varying levels within the organization
