Established in Los Angeles in 2011 with locations nation-wide, RatPac Controls designs, manufactures, sells, and rents power and data distribution equipment for lighting in the Motion Picture, Television, and Broadcast Media industries. Our product developments are focused on making the jobs of lighting and rigging easier and more efficient. Our products have been used on major motion picture and television shows around the world for over a decade. These product portfolios include whisper-quiet dimming solutions for all varieties of HMI, LED, and tungsten lights. We also lead the way in wireless lighting controls systems, designing and manufacturing transmitters and receivers compatible with all varieties of lighting fixtures commonly used on production sets.
Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the VP of Finance, the Senior Accountant performs most work assigned with the minimum assistance and is responsible for applying general accepted accounting principles and procedures to:

Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the VP of Finance, the Senior Accountant performs most work assigned with the minimum assistance and is responsible for applying general accepted accounting principles and procedures to:
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts at month-end.
- Reconcile all bank accounts at month-end.
- Review and generate A/R invoices.
- Analyze expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis.
- Credit cards reconciliations and imports to the GL on a monthly basis.
- Process consigners bi-weekly commission.
- Manage A/R Collection efforts
- Issues 1099’s at year end.
- Maintain Fixed Assets reconciliation and depreciation
- Input monthly journal entries
- Assist in various facets during the quarterly physical inventory counts
- Performs such other accounting, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.
- Coordinate Annual Financial audits with External Auditors
- Solid Microsoft Office suite skills (Excel / Word)
- Working knowledge of financial platforms such as QB & SAP.
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to identify process / efficiency improvements
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a department with continuous trajectory shifts
- Understanding of current GAAP
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance
- CPA preferred, but not required
