Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor budgetary compliance and provide financial insights to management.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and NFP guidelines.
- Assist in preparing for audits and work with auditors to address any financial inquiries.
- Grant Management:
- Manage the financial aspects of grants, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
- Collaborate with program managers to ensure accurate financial tracking of grant activities.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support organizational goals.
- Work closely with the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
