This is role is ONSITE at our office in Shakopee. MUST HAVE: Manufacturing experience
Position Purpose: To coordinate and oversee the accounting functions to ensure timelines, accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Responsible for conducting monthly reconciliations, verifying accuracy of general ledger accounts and making recommendations for any corrections so data is accurate for decision-makers and reporting purposes.

Job Details
This is role is ONSITE at our office in Shakopee. MUST HAVE: Manufacturing experience
Position Purpose: To coordinate and oversee the accounting functions to ensure timelines, accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Responsible for conducting monthly reconciliations, verifying accuracy of general ledger accounts and making recommendations for any corrections so data is accurate for decision-makers and reporting purposes.
Principal Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
- Prepare and review month-end journal entries, which include cash, debt expenses, weekly payroll, accrued expenses, asset transactions, and allocated expenses.
- Prepare the monthly financial packages for Italy and Japan for review and approval.
- Maintains monthly balance sheet reconciliation and supporting records for review each month, including reconciling all bank accounts each month, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Maintain daily record of bank transactions, and process AP bank payments under established procedures, and partner with bank representatives in resolving any outstanding issues and reviewing all supporting documentation.
- Coordinate and assist in preparation of year-end audit. Assign responsibilities and generate audit schedules as requested by auditors.
- Maintain fixed asset system. Reconcile CIP and determine timing of capitalization, record additions and disposals.
- Assist with inventory accounting and management for a manufacturing facility, including reviewing costs and monthly reconciliation.
- Sales and use tax calculation and filing.
- Ability to use Excel Spreadsheets, including at least intermediate formula use
- ERP experience, Syteline knowledge preferred
- Additional systems experience: Sage or similar FAS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 5+ years prior accounting experience preferred
- Preference given to candidates with prior cost accounting experience within a manufacturing work environment.
- Experience with ERP conversion/upgrade projects, purchasing, and inventory
